The Bill Tillman Band (promo)
I played drums and percussion for Bill Tillman for more than two years in the late 90s while residing in Dallas, TX. Below is the Bill Tillman Band promotional video which we used to book corporate events, festivals, and club dates around the USA.
Bill Tillman (1947-2012) was a world renowned musician, specializing in woodwind instruments, whose music career included touring with the likes of The Coasters, Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, Bo Didley, and musical director for Gladys Knight. His big break came in 1973 when he joined the legendary group, Blood, Sweat & Tears, whom he recorded (nine albums), performed and toured with for eight years. After his departure from BS&T, Bill returned to Texas and was a featured soloist for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Jazz Orchestra. He was the featured soloist on the first Dallas Jazz Orchestra album. He formed the Bill Tillman Band in 1981 and performed at numerous events, including the Wall Street Journals' 100th Birthday gala and for Bill Clinton while he was in the White House. Bill was also a businessman, owning Bill Tillman's Seafood House & Sax Club, and managing The King's Club in the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, TX.
